Things to check in Hotel room before staying with your family

Personal Space-

Staying in a hotel room with family causes major privacy concerns, Can we really stay here like home? Do we will that space? Will my child be okay staying here? Can my family stay here?

Double check your area for flashing lights, existing wires, and problematic connectors. It is recommended to search the entire room, but pay special attention to smoke alarms, napkin drawers, clothespins, mirrors, lamps and decorations.

Try to turn off all lights and see if the camera LED is flashing red or green. You can also use your phone’s flashlight to capture the reflected light of an object
.

  Bedbugs-

When bed bugs are not in your bed, they are usually cool creatures. Whether you live in a shady motel                     or a luxurious boutique hotel, be aware of bed bugs, because their presence has nothing to do with the overall cleanliness of the hotel and Surroundings. You want your room to be comfortable, clean, and safe.
Look for small black spots or white eggs in every corner of the bed. Lift up blankets and sheets, check seams and fasteners. Just in case, bring a mobile phone flashlight and don't forget to check the sofa and carpet!

WI-Fi-

Even if you don't need to update your friends and family, you may need the Wi-Fi to check your travel confirmations or find information about the museum you want to visit. Make sure it works and is protected, which generally means that it requires a password to access. To add another layer of security, we recommend that you use VPN when connecting.

If the connection is delayed for too long or does not work at all, you can always ask reception to check it. Sometimes it is only necessary to restart the modem to resolve this problem.

Electrical outlet-

Phone is essential but what if it drains and your room does not have functional socket? Sounds like a nightmare, Right? So always keep in mind to check all the electrical outlets which you might require during the stay of hotel.

Thermostat-

Too hot? Too cold? No problem, as long as the thermostat or air conditioner remote control works normally, you can adjust the temperature at any time but imagine of a situation that you didn’t bothered about it, and your family ended up shivering in mid night and then you get reminded of calling hotel staff and disturbing your sleep routine? Not good, it’s always good to check before hand.
